Bishop Dr. James Connor and Pastor Lucinda Connor have served as partners in life and ministrysince 1982, answering God’s call together with unwavering faith, compassion, and dedication.Bishop Connor is the Founder and Senior Pastor of Breakthrough Center InternationalMinistries, and his shepherd’s heart is evident in the way he leads with wisdom, strength, and apassionate commitment to the Gospel. With more than three decades of pastoral ministry, he hasalso built a distinguished professional background in counseling, education, banking, andmanagement. He is a Board-Certified Christian Counselor and is affiliated with the LicensedProfessional Counselors of North Carolina, the American Association of Christian Counselors,and the Society of Christian Psychologists in America. Bishop Connor holds a Bachelor’s degreein Pastoral Studies, a Master of Divinity, and a Doctorate in Ministry.Together, Bishop and Lady Connor have extended their ministry impact beyond the local churchthrough Concern Mission International, Incorporated, founded in 1991, where Bishop Connorserves as Founder and Executive Director. Through this global humanitarian and mission’sorganization, they have helped spearhead initiatives across Africa, the United States, and otherregions of the world—supporting and establishing churches, orphanages, academic andvocational schools, and community development programs that continue to transform lives.Pastor Lucinda Connor—affectionately known as “Malu” and “Lady Connor”—servesfaithfully alongside her husband as a respected leader and ministry partner at BreakthroughCenter. A graduate of the Institute of Biblical Studies at Liberty University, she serves asMinister for Missions and Growth, helping guide outreach efforts, mission expansion, andministry development locally and internationally. She is also an accomplished entrepreneur andfashion professional, holding a diploma in Fashion and Tailoring from Stafford Institute, and isthe co-owner of Angel’s Touch Fashion, a Charlotte-based fashion design and tailoring business.As a counselor, mentor, and speaker, she is deeply engaged in the church’s women’s, youth, andmusic ministries and remains active in the Charlotte community. Above all, Bishop and LadyConnor consider their greatest earthly blessing their family and take pride in raising their fourchildren—Sincere, Blessing, Humble, and Favor—while continuing to advance God’s Kingdomtogether.
